Though our advocacy we speak out in the interests of all people living with HIV (PLHIV) in New South Wales and use a range of advocacy tools to improve access to services for all of us. We seek to change systems and practices that discriminate against PLHIV, our friends, family and carers in NSW.
Other ways that the voice of PLHIV has participated in discussions about services, systems and tools that affect our lives has been though speaking engagements. Click here to view this work on our video collection page.
Since 1988, Positive Life NSW has worked to develop effective partnerships between community sector agencies, government, researchers and clinicians to collect evidence and create supportive environments to enable PLHIV to enhance our health and quality of life, and the quality of life of our partners and communities. Our relationships with NSW Health, ACON, NAPWA, AFAO, the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, Area Health Services, mainstream services, the clinical and research sector, and especially PLHIV enhance our advocacy in the interests of all PLHIV in NSW.
