David Crawford
David Crawford has worked in the public health sector since 1989. He brings a strong personal and professional experience with HIV as a registered nurse at the St Vincent Ward 17S until 2009. During that time he worked as a clinical nurse specialist and then nursing unit manager.
As a Positive Life NSW Treatments Officer and responsible for the peer support programs of the agency, David is passionate about addressing discrimination, isolation, mental health, disability and suicide as primary concerns of people living with HIV in NSW. Diagnosed with HIV in 1984, he spent some time in Tamworth and offers a valuable perspective on living with HIV in regional NSW and now lives in Sydney since 2014.
